My story

Welcome to my site, Im so pleased you’ve landed here.

Take a look around and please let me know what you think of my work.

Most people would take this opportunity to write about how long they’ve photographed, how they first picked up a camera when they were 3 😆 - you won’t read that here.

I love photography, I’d go as far as saying I’m obsessed. My wife certainly would with all the equipment I buy!!

But it’s more than that for me, I love photography but I love wildlife and conservation just as much..

It’s taken me all over and I’ve met some amazing people doing it.

There’s no better feeling than having a camera in hand, meeting up with friends at some ungodly hour on a Saturday morning and sitting in a field for hours waiting to get that tiny glimpse of a species you’ve set out to see.

Understanding it’s behaviours, habits, learning about it and then, creatively capturing it to educate others.

For 5 years I worked on a campaign to revoke planning permission on the most amazing piece of green space.

A space that biodiversity studies had said there were no species of interest.

411 species later, and many of which had challenged conservation status, the high court overturned the permission and secured the land for what it was originally intended - nature.

That’s the power of my hobby - and I love it!!

I hope you do too.

Mike
